ISRO loses communication with Chandrayaan-1 spacecraft after friday midnight

This is the first video of the Moon, and was taken by the terrain mapping camera of Chandrayaan-1. This short video was shot as the spacecraft flew over the area near moon’s south polar region.

India has successfully launched its first mission to the Moon. India achieved a milestone in the global space history with the successful launch of Chandrayaan -I, India’s first spacecraft mission to moon, today, on October 22, 2008 at 6.22 am from Sathish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota (SHAR) in Andhra Pradesh.
