The temple city of Tirupati, which has emerged as a major educational hub with half-a-dozen university colleges and a host of professional institutes, business schools, etc. will soon have the distinction of being the second place in the world to have a statue of scientist Albert Einstein.
Jana Vignana Vedika (JVV), an affiliate of the All-India People’s Science Network- initiated the 9-ft tall bronze statue. and it will be erected at S.V. Arts College junction on the university road here. It will be formally unveiled by Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy on December 6. The life-size statue has been exquisitely chiselled in Kothapeta in W. Godavari district by sculptor P.V. Rama Rao.
